This past Saturday was Platteville’s 3rd annual Dance Marathon. Thank you to everyone who attend, and donated to this amazing event. It was a 6 hour event filled with dancing, crafts, a reflection room, performances from dance groups on campus, and speeches from the families who have children that attend the Children’s Miracle Network Hospital (CMN) in Milwaukee. We had a little over 200 people attend the event, and with a live DJ and three wonderful MCs the energy of the event stayed up for the entire night. It was wonderful to see residents from Morrow on the dance floor, talking pictures with the cutouts, and preform with Swing Club. Lots of smaller prizes where given out during the raffle, and three lucky individuals received a guitar, a $40 discount off a tattoo from Bad Cats, and a football signed by the entire 2015-16 Green Bay Packers. We were very fortunate to have 3 families attend the event, and it was wonderful to hear their stories, and see the kids being able to play with someone close to their own age. Our pubic fundraising goal was $6,000 with the secret goal being $10,000. I’m proud to announce that Platteville raise $13,763 for research and care for the children that attend the CMN in Milwaukee.
