In honor of Earth Day here’s a new bulletin board that discuss the history as well as some facts and tips on how to deduce waste and energy consumption in order to create a healthier environment. I was surprise to learn that Earth Day is the 3rd largest holiday celebrated, behind Christmas and Halloween, worldwide. One single person creates about 1,600 pounds of trash per yer, but that can be significantly reduce by create small changes in your routine.

Also today Platteville is celebrating its 46th Annual Earth Day with carnival games on the West Lawn, right next to the PSC, from 11 am- 2 pm. There will be games, a brat sale, music, and a $2 raffle for a chance to win a $400 bike.
